A discussion meeting titled "Protecting Lives and Property During Severe Floods" was held at the Burunga Union Foundation office under the presidency of Mr. Ataur Rahman Chowdhury, with Secretary Mr. Kazi Khalilur Rahman and Assistant Secretary Mr. Mazharul Islam jointly presiding. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Nuruddin. The chief guest at the event was Mr. Akhlakur Rahman, a lifetime member of the Burunga Union Foundation and Chairman of the Burunga Union Parishad.

Speakers included Mr. Nurul Haque, former Secretary of the Burunga Union Foundation UK, Mr. Zuber Chowdhury, Office Secretary of the Burunga Union Foundation UK, notable social worker Mr. Ilas Ali, a lifetime member of the Burunga Union Foundation UK, and Mr. Abdul Mukit, Treasurer of the Burunga Union Foundation BD.

After the discussion, cash assistance of 1,000/- (one thousand) taka was distributed to the evacuees in the following shelters: Burunga High School and College, Royal Community Center, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Fazil Madrasa, Tilapara Government Primary School (Jamtala), Khayerpur Mosque Market, Haqqania Madrasa, Kamargaon Primary School, and Samsu Khan Market at the entrance of Burunga Road.

The distribution event, held on 23/06/2024, was attended by Mr. Ashrafuzzaman, PPM (Circle Officer, Osmaninagar Police Station), Mr. Rashedul Haque, Officer-in-Charge, Osmaninagar Police Station, Mr. Shilu Chowdhury, an honorary member of the Burunga Union Foundation UK, along with responsible members and officials of the Burunga Union Foundation BD branch.
